Zest is managed by its two passionate co-founders who bring a wealth of experience to the company:
Blair De Morton - Director
Blair has over 20 years of indepth and practical instrumentation & control experience. Completing his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at Curtin University, he commenced his career at BHP Iron Ore in Port Hedland.
He then went on to pursue opportunities in the copper/gold industry in Indonesia and then oil & gas in Australia, Thailand, China, Malaysia and Singapore.
Blair gained valuable experience and insight into all aspects of instrument and control system design, working as a site maintenance engineer. As a project manager, he has since applied his practical systems knowledge and delivered dozens of successful instrumentation & control projects, from concept through to commissioning.
Blair excels at supervising diverse, offshore work teams to deliver complex, critical projects. He is a meticulous hot cutover specialist and enjoys the challenges that these projects bring.
Brad Noble - Director
Brad's intrigue for mechanical and electrical systems led him to study Electrical Engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Graduating with honours in 1996, Brad moved to the Pilbara region of Western Australia to gain practical experience in the mining industry. His mechanical aptitude and affinity for process control systems then lead him to become a control system engineer in the Power Generation and Oil and Gas industries.
Brad has implemented solutions on instrumented control and safety systems for numerous oil and gas facilities throughout Australasia. He has performed brownfield and greenfield upgrades for clients such as Hamersley Iron (Rio Tinto), Chevron, Woodside, AWE, ROC Oil and PetroChina.
Brad is particularly passionate about the development of intuitive and ultra-reliable Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. He has spent countless hours in control rooms analysing how systems can be refined to compliment human behaviour.
