Brad's intrigue for mechanical and electrical systems led him to study Electrical Engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT). Graduating with honours in 1996, Brad moved to the Pilbara region of Western Australia to gain practical experience in the mining industry. His mechanical aptitude and affinity for process control systems led him to become a control system engineer in the Power Generation and Oil and Gas industries. Brad has implemented solutions for instrumented control and safety systems for numerous oil and gas facilities throughout Australasia. He has performed brownfield and greenfield upgrades for clients such as Hamersley Iron (Rio Tinto), Chevron, Woodside, AWE, ROC Oil and PetroChina. Brad is particularly passionate about the development of intuitive and ultra-reliable Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. He has spent countless hours in control rooms analysing how systems can be refined to complement human behaviour.
